Today at the Vicarage : The Vicarage

A productive meeting with Donbledore, Fripp and Singleton at DGM. We shared hot buttered crumpets and beerless beer. Not dinner, of course. "Most people have business dinners in order to persuade people to work with them, which is exactly why they are to be avoided. If you erect as many hurdles as possible, then you know that those who persevere are really keen and there for the right reasons."

An inaccurate misquote, but you get the sense.

Samantha Tiffany has been describing the parlous state of the book publishing industry to Donbledore. And we thought the music industry was in trouble.

Even so, Punk's book will yet be vying for space on your overloaded bookshelves. April 1st is the day he will know his future.
